Making time for board education

Join us for a Webinar on August 15

Space is limited. Reserve your Webinar seat now!

This webinar is offered free of charge to AGB members. The telephone connection, however, will be a toll call.

This interactive presentation is about the board professional, working with the board and senior administration, to develop an annual strategic agenda for trustee education at the committee and full board level. The strategic agenda links board development to the academic calendar and the work of the board and board committees. Learn how to build in time for trustee education on essential committee responsibilities or concerns and connect agenda items to the strategic plan for the institution over the course of the academic calendar.

The presenter, Thomas C. Longin, has an extensive career in higher education including serving as a consultant to governing boards, trustee of Carroll College, former vice president for programs and research at AGB, and former provost of Ithaca College. He is particularly interested in strategic planning and the organization and structure of governing boards.

This webinar was developed by AGB and the Professional Development Committee of the AGB Board Professionals Leadership Group. It is open to board professionals as well as presidents, trustees, and other staff.

To include a group at your institution, you may use a computer and projector for the Web connection and a speaker phone for the audio portion.
